These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Screen Beaver’s website, web studio demo, desktop application, MCP integrations, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services. For privacy details, see our Privacy Policy.
1. Who may use the Services
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and must not use the Services if prohibited by applicable law. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The Services
Screen Beaver helps you record and polish product demos and tutorials — including framing, auto zoom, captions, voiceover, and local export. Features may differ between Free and paid plans, and between the web demo and the desktop app. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable.
3. Accounts and subscriptions
- You are responsible for account credentials and activity under your account.
- Paid plans renew according to the billing period you select until canceled.
- Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at purchase.
- We may change prices with notice; changes apply on the next renewal unless stated otherwise.
4. License and ownership
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your internal business or personal demo-creation purposes, subject to these Terms and your plan.
You retain ownership of your recordings, projects, and exported videos (“Customer Content”). You grant us only the rights needed to operate features you enable (for example, transmitting caption text to a voiceover provider you choose to use).
The Screen Beaver software, branding, and site content remain our property or that of our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer (except where mandatory law allows), resell, or misuse the Services.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services to violate law, infringe others’ rights, or record people without required consent.
- Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Services.
- Scrape or abuse the website or APIs beyond documented, permitted use.
- Misrepresent affiliation with Screen Beaver or remove proprietary notices.
- Use Free or trial access to circumvent paid plan limits in bad faith.
6. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with third parties (for example AI tools via MCP, payment processors, or optional cloud APIs). Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages or policies.
7. Web demo limitations
The browser studio demo is provided for evaluation. Browser security limits system-wide cursor capture and some desktop-only features (such as Android USB mirroring). The demo may not include full export or may watermark or limit output — as described in-product.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that exports will meet every platform’s encoding requirements without adjustment.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCREEN BEAVER AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ONE HUNDRED USD IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Services in violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and cancel paid plans according to your billing settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. Sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where we primarily operate the Services, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance, except where additional consent is required by law.
