This Privacy Policy explains how Yasharka Bhattacharya trading as NEXOXA (“Screen Beaver”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit https://screenbeaver.com, use our desktop application, MCP integrations, or purchase a plan (together, the “Services”).
Screen Beaver is a local-first SaaS screen-recording / product-demo studio: capture, editing, and H.264 export are designed to happen on your device whenever possible. We do not sell your personal information. We do not provide AI models or AI generation services as part of the product.
1. Who we are
The Services are operated by Yasharka Bhattacharya under the business title NEXOXA (individual / unregistered business in India). The product brand is Screen Beaver. For privacy or data requests, contact [email protected]. More details are on our Contact page.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may process:
- Identity & contact data you provide (name, email, organisation, phone) when you create an account, buy a plan, or contact support.
- Billing & payment metadata needed to process orders (plan selected, amount, currency, invoice/receipt IDs, country). We do not store full card numbers, UPI PINs, or CVV on our servers.
- Transaction records from our payment processor, including payment status, method type (card / UPI / netbanking / wallet / international card), and failure reasons.
- Usage and diagnostics (pages viewed, feature events, crash logs, device/OS) to keep the product reliable and secure.
- Communications you send us (support email, feedback forms).
- Cookies and similar technologies on the marketing site for essential function, preferences, and (if enabled) aggregated analytics.
3. Recordings, projects, and local processing
Screen captures, project files, timelines, zooms, captions, and exported videos are created and stored on your device unless you explicitly choose to upload or share them elsewhere.
- Desktop exports are intended to composite and encode locally (H.264 MP4) on your machine.
- MCP / agent workflows run under your own coding agent or MCP client. We do not receive your full chat history unless you send it to us for support. Connecting an agent does not mean we provide AI features.
4. Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by a third-party payment processor. At checkout you interact with that processor’s secure flow. Card, UPI, netbanking, wallet, and eligible international card data are handled by the processor, not stored on Screen Beaver servers.
- We receive confirmation of payment success/failure, order amount, currency, and limited payer identifiers needed for receipts, tax, and support.
- The processor’s handling of payment data is also governed by its own privacy policy and terms.
- We use payment data to fulfil your order, prevent fraud, comply with tax/accounting rules, and handle refunds under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Why we use information (purposes)
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.
- Create and manage accounts; authenticate users.
- Process purchases, renewals, invoices, and refunds for domestic (India) and international customers.
- Send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, service notices). Marketing email only with consent where required by law.
- Detect abuse, chargebacks, and fraud.
- Comply with applicable law (including Indian law such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where applicable) and enforce our Terms.
6. Legal bases / lawful use
Where required, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the Services you purchase), to comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, fraud prevention), with your consent (where we ask for it), or for legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Services, balanced against your rights.
7. Sharing
We may share information with:
- Payment processors to complete transactions.
- Hosting, email, analytics, and customer-support vendors under contracts requiring appropriate protection of data.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- A successor entity if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where required.
We do not sell personal information.
8. International customers & transfers
We serve customers in India and internationally (subject to export rules, sanctions, and payment-rail availability). If you access the Services from outside India, your information may be processed in India and in other countries where our providers operate. We take steps appropriate to the transfer mechanism when required by applicable law.
9. Retention
We retain account, order, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, chargeback, and security purposes (typically aligned with statutory retention periods in India). Local recordings on your device remain under your control.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we hold (TLS on our site, access controls, least-privilege for staff tools). Payment card data is handled in our payment processor’s PCI DSS environment. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your devices and credentials.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under India’s DPDP Act and other regional laws), you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, or withdraw consent for personal data, or to grievance redressal. Contact [email protected] to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent authority.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 18 (or the higher age of majority in your jurisdiction if applicable for online contracts). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site working. Preference and analytics cookies (if enabled) help us understand aggregated traffic. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may break login or payment flows.
