Screen Beaver MCP

Setup and Usage

Install Screen Beaver on Windows first | MCP only works after the desktop studio is installed and running.

1. Install the app

Required. Download and install the Windows desktop studio before wiring any agent. MCP connects your vibe coding agent to Screen Beaver; it cannot run without the software installed.

Get from Microsoft Store → install → leave the app running.

2. Install MCP CLI

With the desktop app installed, install the global CLI, then register it in your MCP client. Client-specific configs live under Setups.

terminalshell
npm i -g @screenbeaver/mcp

Requirements

  • Windows desktop app (required) · Must be installed and running before MCP works. Native capture, system-wide cursor, Android USB, and agent control all live here.
  • Chrome or Edge · Best path for live captions and local WebCodecs export.
  • MCP client · Any vibe coding agent that speaks MCP, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Trae, Antigravity, Codex, Copilot, and more. See Setups.

First demo

Open Screen Beaver (desktop), ensure the MCP bridge is running, then ask your agent:

prompt.txttext
Record a product walkthrough of our dashboard:1) open the app2) click through signup → home → settings3) add captions and prepare export

Preferred flows

  • record_and_build · Capture + auto captions/zooms/recipe-style polish in one shot.
  • live_build_demo · Drive the UI live, zooms, captions, effects, and voiceover while you watch.

You typically click Export for the final MP4. Agents can also call export tools when appropriate.

Manual fallback

MCP is the unique path, not the only one. The same studio works when you record and edit by hand. See the studio features on the homepage.
